Mesotherapy
The practice of mesotherapy has been around for over 50 years and has been growing in popularity in the US in the past few years. Mesotherapy is the injection into the mesoderm, or middle layer of the skin, of vitamins, minerals, medications and amino acids. It is a series of injections to help with puffy or lumpy skin, and excess fat in problem areas, such as the under eye, upper arms and abdomen. Physicians have used this therapy for skin rejuvenation, weight loss, and hair re-growth, among others.
Due to the press mesotherapy has been receiving from many magazines and television shows, it is becoming more and more of a “hot topic”. Many image-conscious patients are now seeking mesotherapy for weight loss instead of a more invasive surgical option. The procedure is performed in the office, is minimally invasive, and does not interfere with the patient’s daily routine.
Housed in our state-of-the-art laboratory is a certified, Class 1000 clean room with Class 100 laminar flow hoods used for aseptic compounding, such as mesotherapy solutions.
